The short answer

What should an email marketing agency do for you?

Turn the people who already know you into repeat customers, automatically, and prove it in sales rather than opens.

Ads and search bring new people to your business once. Email and text messages are how you keep them, and you own the list, so every extra sale costs very little. Overtop Media Digital Marketing sets up the automated emails that run every day, plans the campaigns and newsletters around your seasons, keeps you out of the spam folder, and reports the revenue, leads and bookings email produces. We have been growing businesses from Charlotte since 2009, alongside the Google Ads, Meta ads and websites that bring those customers in.

  • Built on the platform you already useMailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact or Omnisend. We work in your account; no forced move.
  • One plan with your ads and websiteThe people your Google, Meta and Microsoft ads bring in get a reason to come back and buy again.
  • A Charlotte office you can visit933 Louise Ave, in Elizabeth. Local businesses get local people; national accounts get the same team.

A few automated emails do most of the work.

Emails that send themselves when someone signs up, leaves a cart or goes quiet are a small share of what businesses send, and a big share of what they earn.

New subscribers turned into first-time customers

Someone who just joined your list is as interested as they will ever be. We build a short welcome series that introduces your business, answers the questions that stop people buying, and gives them a clear first step, whether that is an order, a booking or a call.

Klaviyo reports an average of $5.75 in revenue per person who receives a welcome series, and $13.27 for the top 10% of businesses.

Sales that almost happened, won back

Most people who start a checkout, a quote request or a booking leave before they finish. A timed reminder by email, and by text where they have agreed to it, brings a good share of them back. We write the reminders, set the timing and test the offer so you do not give away discounts you did not need to.

Across more than 110,000 Klaviyo customers, an abandoned cart email earns $6.77 per recipient on average. Mailchimp found abandoned cart emails bring 37 times more orders per recipient than a regular bulk email.

Every lead followed up in minutes, not days

For service businesses, the first company to reply usually wins the job. When a form, quote request or missed call comes in, we send an instant reply, a reminder series and an alert to your team, so no lead waits until Monday.

Southern Orthodontic Partners answered 87% of new leads within 24 hours and won back 6% of lost leads with two automated follow-ups, in a story published by ActiveCampaign.

Newsletters people actually open

A newsletter only works if people look forward to it. We plan each one around news your customers care about, from new products and events to useful advice, design it for phones first, and keep a steady rhythm so your name stays familiar between purchases.

Grolier Poetry Book Shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts averaged a 55% open rate in 2025, against a 36% industry average, and grew its list 31%, in a story published by Constant Contact.

Text messages that bring people in

Texts get read within minutes, so they suit reminders, short offers and anything time-sensitive. We add text messages where your customers have opted in, keep them short and rare enough to stay welcome, and coordinate them with your emails so nobody hears the same thing twice.

Klaviyo reports automated texts are 7.6% of text sends but bring in 45.2% of text revenue. Mailchimp found US businesses using both email and SMS saw up to 97% higher click rates.

Repeat visits, reviews and referrals

Your past customers are the cheapest sales you will ever make. We set up the follow-ups that keep them coming back: thank-you and how-to emails after a purchase, reorder and service reminders, review requests, birthday offers and a win-back series for people who have gone quiet.

At Kerrits, an equestrian clothing brand, automated messages were under 4% of emails sent but brought in 23% of email orders, in a story published by Omnisend.

Lead nurturing tied to your CRM and sales team

B2B and high-value purchases take weeks or months. We connect email to your CRM so each prospect gets the next useful message for where they are, your sales team sees who is warming up, and marketing gets credit only for the deals it actually helped close.

Online Computers, an IT services company, grew its deal pipeline 167% in six months after moving its email and CRM into HubSpot, in a story published by HubSpot.

We run email on the platform you already use.

Six platforms cover most businesses. We manage all of them, recommend one only when you are choosing, and never make you switch to suit us.

Deliverability

Land in the inbox, not the spam folder.

Since February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo hold anyone sending bulk email to stricter rules, and Gmail stepped up enforcement in November 2025. Emails that break them get filtered or rejected, no matter how good they are. We set up your domain correctly, clean out contacts who hurt your reputation, and watch your sender health every month.

  • One-click unsubscribe, honored within two daysLeaving your list has to be easy, or your emails get filtered.

Judged on sales, not open rates.

Apple Mail Privacy Protection loads emails in the background whether or not anyone reads them, so open rates now look better than reality. We report what email actually does for your business.

  • Orders, bookings, calls and form leads tracked back to the email or text that produced them.
  • Revenue per recipient for every automation and campaign, so the best ones get more attention.
  • List health: growth, unsubscribes, complaints and inactive contacts, month by month.
  • Email read side by side with your ads and website from the same customer data.

Questions about email marketing services.

What do your email marketing services include?

Strategy, setup and day-to-day management: list growth and signup forms, automated emails such as welcome, abandoned cart, lead follow-up and win-back series, regular campaigns and newsletters, text messages where they fit, design and copywriting, deliverability, and monthly reporting on the revenue, leads and bookings email produces.

Which email platform is best for my business?

It depends on how you sell. Online stores usually do best on Klaviyo or Omnisend, B2B and service businesses that want email inside a CRM on HubSpot, businesses that live on lead follow-up on ActiveCampaign, and local businesses and nonprofits on Mailchimp or Constant Contact. We recommend one only after looking at your business, and if your current platform is working, we keep it.

Do I have to switch email platforms to work with you?

No. We work inside the platform you already use. If a move would clearly make you more money, we will show you why and handle the migration, including your contacts, automations and sending reputation.

How much does email marketing software cost?

Most platforms have a free plan for very small lists, and paid plans that start at roughly $10 to $20 a month and grow with your number of contacts, according to their own pricing pages in October 2026. Text messages are billed per message on top. Our management is a custom plan for each client, so we do not publish a price list.

Is email marketing still worth it?

For most businesses, yes, because you own the list and each send costs very little. Omnisend reports a $79 return for every $1 its online store customers spent in 2025, and Klaviyo reports automated emails bring in about 41% of email revenue from just 5.3% of sends. Results for your business will differ, and we measure them in real sales, not opens.

How often should we email our customers?

As often as you have something worth reading, and no more often than people expected when they signed up. Yahoo warns senders not to switch weekly subscribers to daily emails. Most small businesses do well with automations running every day plus one to four campaigns a month; we set the rhythm from your own results.

Should we add text messages to our email marketing?

Often, yes, for reminders, short offers and anything time-sensitive, as long as customers have opted in. Klaviyo reports automated texts bring in 45.2% of text revenue from 7.6% of sends. We add texts where they earn their place and keep them coordinated with your emails.

Why are our emails going to spam?

Since February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo require bulk senders to authenticate with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, offer one-click unsubscribe and keep spam complaints under 0.3%, and Gmail stepped up enforcement in November 2025. Old, bought or inactive contacts also hurt. We fix the setup, clean the list and watch your sender reputation every month.

Are open rates still a reliable measure?

Not on their own. Apple Mail Privacy Protection loads emails in the background whether or not someone reads them, which inflates opens. We judge email on clicks, orders, bookings, calls and revenue per recipient instead.

Can you help us grow our email list?

Yes, legally and with people who want to hear from you: signup forms and popups on the right pages, checkout and booking opt-ins, events, giveaways and your ads. We never buy lists. Ravinia Festival grew its list by 8,912 subscribers in six weeks with one well-placed giveaway form.

Do you write and design the emails?

Yes. We write the copy, design mobile-first templates in your brand, and build every automation. You approve the plan and the key campaigns; we handle the rest.

Do you only work with Charlotte businesses?

No. Our office is in Charlotte and we know the metro well, but Overtop Media Digital Marketing runs email marketing for businesses across the United States. Local or national, you work with the same team you meet on the first call.
