The short answer

Who should manage your Amazon ads?

A team that manages to your profit, fixes the listings the ads send people to, and runs Amazon alongside your Google and Meta ads as one plan.

Amazon is where many shoppers start and finish their search, and every product category is crowded with sellers bidding for the same clicks. Running ads there well takes more than switching on automatic campaigns. Overtop Media Digital Marketing has grown businesses from Charlotte since 2009, as a Google Partner running Google Ads management, Meta ads and Microsoft Ads. Amazon is where those channels meet the shopping cart.

  • Managed for profit, not ad salesWe judge every campaign on what you keep after ad costs and on new customers, not on a flattering return-on-ad-spend number.
  • Amazon, Google and Meta as one planA Google Partner that also runs Meta and Microsoft ads, so traffic you pay for elsewhere is measured and rewarded on Amazon too.
  • A Charlotte office you can visit933 Louise Ave, in Elizabeth. Local sellers get local people; national brands get the same team.

One plan. Every place your buyers shop and stream.

Amazon ads reach people while they search, compare, watch and listen. Amazon reports an average monthly ad-supported audience of 300 million people in the US. We put your budget where your customers actually buy, not where the platform defaults.

Shoppers who watch, then buy.

Amazon connects what people stream with what they purchase. That is why its ads can be planned and measured on sales, not just views.

  • 80%of viewers who saw a streaming TV ad browse on Amazon
  • 77%of them go on to buy on Amazon
  • 132%more spent on Amazon each month by Prime Video viewers

Sales from shoppers already searching for what you sell

Sponsored Products put your listing at the top of, beside and inside the results when people search on Amazon. You pay only when someone clicks. We start broad to learn which searches buy, then move the budget into tightly controlled campaigns and block the searches that only spend.

Amazon reports Sponsored Products campaigns with video saw 67% higher click-through and 9% higher conversion rates than campaigns without.

Your brand at the top of the page, not just one product

Sponsored Brands show your logo, a headline, several products or a video above the results. Shoppers meet the brand before they compare single items, and searches for your name grow. We write the headline, choose the products and plan the video so the ad tells shoppers why to pick you.

A small home goods brand grew Amazon sales 350% in a year with brand video ads, per a story Amazon Ads published.

A storefront that sells your whole range

A Brand Store is a free, multi-page shop on Amazon with its own short address. We design it around your best sellers and your story, send your brand ads and outside traffic to it, and use its reports to see which products and pages earn the most.

Amazon reports shoppers who visit a Brand Store purchase 53.9% more often and spend 71.3% more per order than those who do not.

Listings that turn clicks into sales

Ads only bring people to your product page; the page closes the sale. We tighten titles around the words people search, fix photos that leave questions unanswered, and use richer brand content and reviews, so every click you pay for has a better chance to buy.

A hair care brand reached a 10x return on Sponsored Products within six weeks, then raised order value 40% with bundles built from its ad data, per a story Amazon Ads published.

A second chance at shoppers who did not buy

Most shoppers look and leave. Display ads bring them back with your product on Amazon pages, on Amazon-owned sites like Twitch and IMDb, and across other sites and apps. We keep them to people who showed real interest, so you pay to win back likely buyers.

Amazon reports sellers using its Display, Video, and Audio campaigns saw 64% more purchases than with standard awareness campaigns.

TV ads that people can shop

Streaming TV ads run full screen on Prime Video, Twitch, live sports and Fire TV channels, and viewers can shop from the remote or a phone. Amazon knows who shops your category, so the ads reach likely buyers, not just a general audience. We plan them to grow new customers and searches for your name.

A premium coffee brand lifted new-to-brand customers 75% by adding streaming TV to its online video ads, as measured by Amazon.

Amazon’s shoppers, even if you do not sell on Amazon

Display, video, streaming TV and audio ads are open to businesses with no Amazon store. A dealership, a clinic or an online shop can reach households Amazon knows are shopping for what they sell, inside their own service area, and send them to their own website.

Amazon reports brands that do not sell on Amazon saw 115% more page views on their own sites and 149% more purchases with its Display, Video, and Audio campaigns.

Amazon figures: Amazon Ads, Sponsored Products: campaigns with video compared with campaigns without, Amazon internal data, US, June 2026; Amazon Ads, Display, Video, and Audio: aggregate campaign performance, Amazon internal data, US, February 2025 (sellers) and January to March 2025 (brands that do not sell on Amazon); Brand Store figures as above. Business results are from the Amazon Ads case studies retold further down this page.

Your other ads, rewarded on Amazon

Send Google and Meta shoppers to Amazon, and earn a credit.

Many shoppers find a brand on Google, Instagram or in an email, then buy on Amazon. Amazon Attribution, a free Amazon tool, measures those sales. Brands enrolled in Brand Registry can earn a Brand Referral Bonus on them: a credit against future Amazon selling fees. Because we run your Google and Meta ads too, we plan that traffic so it is tracked and rewarded.

  • 10%average bonus on qualifying sales from outside traffic
  • 14 daysafter a click, Amazon sales are credited to the ad
  • FreeAmazon Attribution costs nothing to use

Are your Amazon ads making money?

Enter last month’s numbers. You will see your ad cost of sale (ACOS), the most you can spend per sale before losing money, and your total cost of sale (TACOS).

  • Your ACOS25%
  • Break-even ACOS30%
  • Your TACOS10%
  • Profit after ads, on ad sales$400

Your ads are profitable on the sales they produce. The next question is whether they are winning new customers or paying for sales you would have made anyway.

Get a free account review

ACOS = ad spend ÷ sales from ads. Break-even ACOS = your margin before ad costs. TACOS = ad spend ÷ all sales. A simple check, not a forecast: fees, returns and repeat orders change the real picture, and your review covers them.

Why “set it and forget it” costs sellers money.

Amazon makes it easy to launch ads in minutes. Easy to launch is not the same as profitable to run.

An account on autopilot

  • Automatic campaigns left running for months
  • Wasted searches never blocked
  • Judged on ad cost of sale alone
  • Ads that ignore stock levels
  • Amazon run as an island

Managed by OVERTOP

  • Automatic campaigns for research, then tight manual control
  • Search terms reviewed and blocked every week
  • Judged on profit, total cost of sale and new customers
  • Budgets that follow inventory, before a product runs out
  • Planned with your Google, Meta and email marketing
Why each one matters
  1. Automatic is a starting point

Automatic targeting is a fine way to learn which searches buy. Left alone, it keeps paying for loose matches. We use it for research, then move the proven searches into manual campaigns where every bid is a decision.

  2. Blocking is where the profit is

Most wasted spend on Amazon comes from searches that look relevant and never buy. A two-person publisher in Amazon’s own case studies doubled revenue without raising its budget, mostly by blocking them. We review search terms every week from day one.

  3. Ad cost of sale hides the real picture

A low ad cost of sale can mean you are only paying for sales you would have made anyway. We also track total cost of sale (ad spend against all sales), profit after ads and new-to-brand customers, so growth is real.

  4. Stock changes everything

Ads stop when a product is out of stock, and competitors take your place. We plan budgets around inventory and move spend to related products before a best seller runs out.

  5. Your other ads can pay you on Amazon

Google, Meta and email traffic sent to Amazon can be measured with Amazon Attribution, and eligible brands earn a referral credit on those sales. An agency that runs Amazon alone leaves that money on the table.

One team for every channel.

Amazon ads work best as one part of a plan, not a separate account someone checks once a month. Here is where they fit.

  1. Meta, video and streaming TV create demand People meet your brand before they search.
  2. Amazon ads work here Amazon and Google catch the search When they are ready to buy, you are the answer wherever they look.
  3. Listings, store and website convert Pages that answer questions and make buying easy.
  4. Measurement proves what paid off Every channel judged on the same sales data.
  1. Google Ads

Shoppers compare on Google before and after Amazon. Search and Shopping ads catch them there, and traffic you send to Amazon is measured with Amazon Attribution.

  2. Meta ads

Facebook and Instagram create demand with people who were not searching yet. Eligible brands earn a referral credit on Amazon sales those ads drive.

  3. Microsoft Ads

Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo searchers, often at a lower cost per click, sent to your Amazon listing or your own store.

  4. Your own store and email

Customers you win on Amazon can find you directly. Your website, Shopify store and email marketing keep the relationship going.

Questions about Amazon advertising.

What does an Amazon advertising agency do?

We plan, build and manage your Amazon ads: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, display ads, Brand Stores and, when it fits, streaming TV and Prime Video ads. That includes keyword and search term work, bids and budgets, listing and store improvements, and reporting on sales, profit after ads and new customers. Overtop Media Digital Marketing also runs your Google, Meta and Microsoft ads, so every channel works as one plan.

Do I need to sell on Amazon to advertise with Amazon Ads?

Not for every ad type. Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Brand Stores need products sold on Amazon. Display ads, video, streaming TV, Prime Video and audio ads are open to businesses that sell nothing on Amazon, using Amazon’s shopper audiences to send people to your own website or store.

How much do Amazon ads cost?

Sponsored Products have no monthly or upfront fees: you pay per click and set a daily budget. Sponsored Brands and display ads can run without a minimum spend, while managed streaming TV and video campaigns usually need much larger budgets than search ads. We size your budget from your margins, your category and your goals. Every client gets a custom plan, so we do not publish price lists.

What is a good ACOS on Amazon?

ACOS is ad spend divided by the sales those ads produced. Your break-even ACOS equals your profit margin before ad costs: with a 30% margin, anything under 30% is profitable on those sales. A good target depends on whether you are launching, defending or growing a product. We also watch TACOS, ad spend divided by all sales, because it shows whether ads are growing the whole business.

What is the difference between Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and display ads?

Sponsored Products promote a single listing in and beside search results and on product pages. Sponsored Brands show your logo, a headline, several products or a video at the top of results. Display ads (formerly Sponsored Display) reach shoppers on and off Amazon, often people who viewed a product and did not buy. Most growing brands use all three, each for a different job.

Can you run Prime Video ads for my business?

Yes. Prime Video ads are full-screen streaming TV ads, available to businesses whether or not they sell on Amazon. They can be targeted with Amazon’s shopping data and made interactive, so viewers can shop or learn more from the remote or a phone. We test them once your search ads and listings are working well.

What happened to Amazon DSP?

In 2026 Amazon brought its ad tools together in one platform called Amazon Ads Agent. What used to be bought through Amazon DSP, Sponsored Display and Sponsored TV now runs as Display, Video, and Audio campaigns. The audiences and the reach are the same; the setup is simpler. We manage campaigns in the current tools.

Can my Google and Meta ads help my Amazon sales?

Yes, and it can pay you back. Amazon Attribution, a free Amazon tool, measures the Amazon sales your Google, Meta and email traffic produces. Brands enrolled in Brand Registry can earn a Brand Referral Bonus on those sales, averaging 10% of qualifying sales as a credit. We plan your outside traffic so it is measured and rewarded.

Do you optimize listings and build Brand Stores?

Yes. Ads send people to your product pages and store, so we improve titles, photos, key points and brand content, and design Brand Stores around your best sellers. A better page lowers the cost of every sale your ads produce.

How fast will I see results?

Sponsored Products can bring sales within days, because shoppers are already searching. The first weeks go to research, cleaning up wasted searches and fixing listings, and the cost of each sale usually falls over the following months as the account learns which searches buy.

Do you only work with Charlotte businesses?

No. Our office is in Charlotte and we know the Charlotte metro market well, but Overtop Media Digital Marketing runs Amazon ads for sellers and brands across the United States. Local or national, you work with the same team you meet on the first call.
