The short answer

Who should run your Constant Contact?

A team that counts registrations, donations and sales, not just opens. Overtop Media Digital Marketing builds Constant Contact programs around what a new contact is worth to you: a steady newsletter, events that grow the list, and automations that follow up while you work.

Constant Contact is one part of our email marketing service. Most accounts we see send an occasional newsletter to everyone and leave the automations, segments and event tools unused. We put them to work, connect Constant Contact to your website and booking or donor tools, and plan email with your Google Ads and Facebook and Instagram ads, so the people your ads bring in keep coming back.

Hero figures: Constant Contact homepage (customer count, October 2026); Constant Contact plans and pricing (98% inbox rate, based on 2025 Validity Everest qualified inbox test results); Constant Contact, Small Business Now report press release, September 3, 2025 (44% of small businesses globally, up from 23% in 2024).

  • Email and events, planned togetherNewsletters, invitations, reminders and follow-ups on one calendar, so every event grows the list for the next.
  • Every channel, one teamEmail, texts, social, Google, Meta and local search planned as one system by a Google Partner agency in Charlotte since 2009.
  • Your account, your listThe Constant Contact account, contacts and templates stay in your name. We work inside it, in the open.

What a well-run Constant Contact account does for you.

Six results our clients hire us for. Open each one to see how we get there and the evidence behind it.

Newsletters people open

A regular email with your news, offers and events is still the cheapest way to stay in front of customers. We plan the calendar, write the copy and design templates in your brand, so you send on a rhythm customers expect instead of whenever there is time.

Grolier Poetry Book Shop averaged a 55% open rate against a 36% industry average, in a story Constant Contact published in February 2026.

Events that fill and grow your list

Classes, open houses, fundraisers, tastings and workshops: Constant Contact handles invitations, registration pages, tickets, payments and reminders in the same place as your email. Every person who registers becomes a contact you can invite to the next one.

Constant Contact’s event tools take payments through Stripe or PayPal, offer promo codes and early-bird pricing, and check guests in on the day.

Automations that follow up for you

A welcome email for every new subscriber, a birthday note, a thank-you after a purchase, a resend to people who did not open. We set up the automations that save you time and bring people back, and stop them from overlapping.

Constant Contact’s automation templates include a welcome series, shopping cart abandonment, thank-you and birthday emails, and resends to non-openers.

Texts for the moments that matter

A flash sale, a class reminder, a last call for a fundraiser. We add SMS where timing matters, with clear consent and a local 10-digit number, and keep email for everything that needs more room.

SMS is available to US paid plans; Constant Contact’s Premium plan includes 500 messages a month and other plans can add them.

Social posts and local ads

Constant Contact schedules posts to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, and runs simple Facebook and Instagram ads. We plan social around your email calendar, so one message reaches people in both places, and connect it to your wider ad plan.

Social posting and reporting are included in every Constant Contact plan.

Reports in plain language

Opens are a start. We report the registrations, donations, bookings and sales each email produced, compare your results with your industry, and tell you what we are changing next.

Constant Contact’s higher plans show who opened and clicked each email, and its reports compare your results with your industry.

Where Constant Contact stands out

Events that fill, and fill your list.

Most email tools stop at the inbox. Constant Contact also runs the event: the invitation, the registration page, tickets and payments, reminders, check-in and the thank-you afterwards. We set that up once, so every class, open house, tasting or fundraiser adds new contacts you can invite to the next one.

One brand, every location.

Franchises, chapters and multi-location businesses need two things that pull against each other: a consistent brand and local news. Constant Contact’s Multi-Account plan links a head office account with an account for each location. We build the shared templates, set the guardrails and train the local teams, so every location can send professional email in minutes.

  • Locked brand templates

Logos, legal lines and core offers are fixed; each location edits its own details and sends.

  • Campaigns sent across accounts

One email or text launched to every location at once, or shared for each office to personalize.

  • Approvals and shared automations

Review steps where the brand needs them, and journeys every location runs the same way.

Constant Contact says more than 2,000 franchise brands use it. Read how a home care franchise network lifted its newsletter from a 30% to a 52% open rate, and how a nonprofit keeps 155 local centers on brand.

Built for nonprofits that run on community.

Donors, members and volunteers give when they feel close to the mission. We turn your stories into a newsletter people look forward to, then make the ask at the right moments: giving days, year-end, events and emergencies.

  • Appeals that are ready to go

Giving day sequences, year-end appeals and an emergency template you can send in minutes.

  • Donations without the friction

Constant Contact connects with donor tools such as DonorPerfect, Blackbaud, Neon CRM and Qgiv.

  • Members, donors and volunteers, apart

Each group gets its own news, so nobody is asked for money in the email meant to say thank you.

Constant Contact offers nonprofits up to 30% off when they prepay for a year. See how a small-town YMCA grew its list 24% in a year.

Is Constant Contact the right platform for you?

Often yes, not always. We recommend the platform that fits your business, even when it is not the one you are on.

Constant Contact is a strong fit when

  • You run events, classes or fundraisers and want registration and email in one place
  • You are a local business, nonprofit, association or church
  • You have several locations or franchisees who send their own email
  • Your team wants something simple, with live phone support

We may recommend another platform when

  • A large online store needs deep product and revenue automation
  • Sales and marketing must share one CRM with deal pipelines
  • You need long, branching automations based on many behaviors
  • You already run a platform that works and switching would cost more than it saves

Switching to Constant Contact, without losing a contact.

A platform move is where lists get lost and emails start landing in spam. We plan it so neither happens, and we time it around your busy season and your next big event.

Already on Constant Contact? We start with an audit of your account instead: what is sending, what is not, and where the easy wins are.

  1. 1

    Audit what you have

Lists, consent records, templates, automations, forms and event pages, so nothing is lost in the move.

  2. 2

    Move and authenticate

Contacts, tags and lists imported cleanly, and your sending domain authenticated before the first send.

  3. 3

    Rebuild what earns

Templates, welcome emails and event pages rebuilt in your brand, and improved where they were underperforming.

  4. 4

    Warm up and switch over

Sending ramped up to your most engaged contacts first, then the old account is retired.

Questions about Constant Contact.

How much does Constant Contact cost?

Constant Contact has three main plans, Lite, Standard and Premium, plus a Multi-Account plan for organizations that need five or more accounts. The price depends mainly on how many contacts you have and how many emails you send, and nonprofits can save up to 30% by prepaying for a year. You pay Constant Contact directly and the account stays in your name. Our work is quoted separately once we understand your business, because every client gets a custom plan rather than a package. Use the plan finder above to see which plan fits.

Constant Contact or Mailchimp: which is better?

For events, nonprofits and businesses with several locations, Constant Contact is usually the simpler choice: registration, tickets and multi-account tools are built in, and every paid plan has live phone support. Mailchimp is stronger on multi-step automation flows and online store integrations. Both are good email tools for small businesses. We compare them for your business, and we run both.

Is Constant Contact worth it for a small business?

Usually yes, if you use it. A contact list you email regularly costs far less to reach than a new audience you pay for every time. Constant Contact’s own 2025 survey found 44% of small businesses call email their most effective marketing channel, up from 23% in 2024. The accounts that disappoint are the ones that send rarely, to everyone, with no welcome email or event follow-up.

Do you work with nonprofits on Constant Contact?

Yes. We build donor, member and volunteer lists, newsletters, giving day sequences, event registrations and year-end appeals. Constant Contact offers nonprofits up to 30% off when they prepay, and connects with donor tools such as DonorPerfect, Blackbaud, Neon CRM and Qgiv.

Can Constant Contact handle event registration and tickets?

Yes. Constant Contact can build event invitations and landing pages, sell tickets, take payments through Stripe or PayPal, offer promo codes and early-bird pricing, send reminders and check guests in. Every person who registers is added to your contacts.

Can Constant Contact send text messages?

Yes, for US accounts on paid plans. Premium includes 500 messages a month, and Lite and Standard can add messages. It supports text-to-join, automations and a local 10-digit number. We handle the setup, consent language and message plan.

Can our franchise or multi-location business use one Constant Contact setup?

Yes. Constant Contact’s Multi-Account plan, called Teams, links a head office account with an account for each location. Head office shares locked, branded templates and campaigns, and each location personalizes and sends its own. We set up the structure, build the templates and train the local teams.

Why are my Constant Contact emails going to spam?

Usually because the sending domain is not fully authenticated, the list includes old or unengaged contacts, or the same email goes to everyone. We fix authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), clean and segment the list, and change the sending pattern so inbox placement recovers.

What are the best Constant Contact alternatives?

It depends on what you need email to do. Mailchimp suits small businesses and online shops that want deeper automation, Klaviyo and Omnisend suit online stores, ActiveCampaign suits lead follow-up, and HubSpot suits businesses that want email inside a CRM. Our email marketing guide compares them, and we will tell you if switching is not worth it.

Who owns the Constant Contact account and the list?

You do. The account, contacts, templates and event pages stay in your name. We work inside your account with our own login, so you can see everything we do.

Do you work with businesses outside Charlotte?

Yes. We run Constant Contact for businesses and nonprofits across the Charlotte metro, the Carolinas and nationwide, from our Charlotte office.
