The contact list grew from 1,650 to 2,732 over the 12 months before the story. Figures as reported in the story; Constant Contact does not publish how they were measured.

The challenge.

Interim Healthcare helps franchise partners build local businesses that support patients at home, from recovery after surgery all the way to hospice care. Its head office talks to a network of more than 300 independently owned and operated locations, and each of those offices also needs to reach caregivers, recruits and referral sources in its own town.

One person runs the weekly partner newsletter, so it has to be quick to build. The organization had briefly moved that newsletter to another platform, where it was expensive and slow to assemble piece by piece, and local offices writing their own emails meant typos, mixed messages and an inconsistent brand.

  1. Move back to one platformHead office and offices on linked Constant Contact accounts.
  2. Lead with partner winsEvery weekly issue opens with a real win from the network.

  4. Share locked templates70+ offices personalize approved emails and send them locally.

What they did.

Multi-account templates · Weekly newsletter · List segmentation · Locked brand blocks

One home for every account
The newsletter moved back to Constant Contact Teams, which links a head office account with the accounts of its locations, so templates and campaigns can be shared across the network.
Partner wins at the top
Each weekly issue now leads with a franchise partner’s win, such as a clean inspection or a strong sales quarter. People open emails that might feature their own office.
Lists by audience
Segments and tags split caregivers, employees and former staff the company wants to recruit back, so each group gets the news that fits.
Templates with guardrails
Head office builds branded templates for recruiting and caregiver newsletters. Core copy stays locked; local offices change the marked fields, swap approved photos, add their sign-off and send.

Why it worked.

Our read on the decisions behind the numbers, and what any business can take from them.

People read about people they know
Featuring real wins from inside the network turned a corporate update into something partners wanted to open every week.
Ease decides consistency
A newsletter that takes minutes to build goes out every week. One that takes hours slips, and the audience drifts away.
Guardrails beat approvals
Locked brand blocks let 70+ offices send on their own without a review queue, and without the typos and off-brand claims that come with writing from scratch.
One email, several jobs
The same newsletter keeps partners informed and keeps registrations coming for the annual franchise conference.

How we would run this play for your business.

You do not need a national budget to use the same ideas. This is how Overtop Media Digital Marketing puts them to work in our Constant Contact email marketing.

Map your account structure
Head office, regions and locations set up so templates, lists and reporting roll up the way your business is organized.
Build locked local templates
Brand, legal lines and core offers fixed; local names, photos and events editable, so every location can send in minutes.
Write the network newsletter
A weekly or monthly issue built around wins, news and actions, written for busy owners who skim on their phones.
Connect local ads to local lists
Location-level Google Ads and Meta ads feed each office’s own list, so new leads hear from the location that will serve them.

Who this play fits.

You do not have to be a home care franchise network to use the same approach. It is a strong fit for:

  • Franchise brands and franchisees
  • Multi-location home services companies
  • Healthcare and home care networks
  • Associations with local chapters
  • Organizations with one head office and many branches
  • Any team whose newsletter has stopped getting opened
