Google Ads success story · Clinic network

How Dermapure turned more leads into more patients, with 210% more conversion value.

Leads were up 550% and revenue had not moved. Dermapure rebuilt its measurement so Google could see which inquiries became paying patients, and then asked it to find more of those.

The results.

Only the 167% growth in new patient leads is stated as year over year. Google did not publish the comparison period for the other results.

  • 210%increase in conversion value after importing offline conversions
  • 167%year-over-year growth in new patient lead volume
  • 54%lower cost per acquisition after bidding on value, not volume

Reported in the company’s 2026 Google Ads Impact Award entry as published by Google. No measurement method or dates were stated.

The challenge.

Dermapure had a problem most clinics would envy at first glance: leads were up 550%. But revenue had not grown at all.

The campaigns were rewarded for form submissions, so they delivered more form submissions. Nothing told Google which of those people booked, showed up and spent money, so it could not tell a future patient from a casual click.

  1. Inquiry from an adMatched with enhanced conversions for leads.
  2. Patient visit recordedThe CRM shows who came in and what they spent.
  3. Value sent to GoogleA 12-month expected value for every prospect.
  4. Bidding follows valueMore budget for people likely to become patients.

What they did.

Enhanced conversions for leads · Offline conversion imports from the CRM · Value-based bidding

Matched leads to real patients
Enhanced conversions for leads and imports from the clinic’s CRM connected each online inquiry to what happened after it.
Gave every prospect a value
Google’s AI estimated what each prospect was likely to be worth over 12 months, so a likely long-term patient counted for more than a one-off inquiry.
Bid on value, not volume
Value-based bidding with target return on ad spend replaced the push for more leads, with CRM results flowing back continuously.

Why it worked.

Our read on the decisions behind the numbers, and what any business can take from them.

The algorithm got the right target
Google’s bidding is very good at finding more of whatever it is told to count. Counting patients instead of forms changed who it looked for.
Value beat volume
Some patients are worth far more than others. Bidding on expected value put the budget behind them.
The data kept flowing
Results kept flowing back from the CRM, so the campaigns kept learning as the clinic’s patients changed.

How we would run this play for your business.

You do not need a national budget to use the same ideas. This is how Overtop Media Digital Marketing puts them to work in our google ads management.

Close the loop with your practice system
We connect your booking or practice management data so Google sees which inquiries became patients, using the tracking setup we build for every lead-driven account.
Value each new patient
Our team sets conversion values that reflect what a new patient is really worth to your practice, so bidding chases revenue instead of form counts.
Search where patients decide
Patients searching for a treatment near them are the warmest audience there is. Our Google Search ads work is built around them.
Watch quality every week
We report show rates, new patients and cost per patient, not just lead counts.

Who this play fits.

You do not have to be a clinic network to use the same approach. It is a strong fit for:

  • Medical spas and aesthetic clinics
  • Dental, dermatology and specialty practices
  • Multi-location clinic groups
  • Any business with lots of leads and flat revenue

We run plays like this for every industry we serve.
