Home health and senior care
Home care marketing that reaches families the month they decide
Home care is often chosen by a son or daughter, sometimes from another city, and the searches cluster around the holidays. We plan your search ads, Google listing, social ads and email around that window, around the caregivers you need to hire to serve it, and inside the ad policy and privacy limits of senior care.
- 9,900 to 260"in home care" searches a month in the Charlotte area, November 2025 against April to June 2026
- 3,600"home care near me" searches in January and in February 2026, its two highest months
- $3.07 to $22.45estimated cost of one click on "in home care services for seniors" in Charlotte
- 2,900"home care agencies" searches a month in the Charlotte area, on average across the year
The short answer
What makes home care marketing different from other healthcare marketing?
Home care marketing sells to a family, not a patient: an adult child researching care for a parent, on a calendar set by the holidays, for an agency that also has to hire the caregivers before it can say yes.
The person searching is rarely the person who will receive care. Many searches come from a son or daughter weighing cost, trust and schedule, and the agency wins only if it can staff the hours the family needs. That makes caregiver hiring part of the plan, and hiring ads on Meta carry fixed audience rules: all ages and genders, no ZIP codes. Client ads have limits too: Meta does not allow ads that assert or imply a person’s age or health. We plan home care ads, the Google Business Profile, social ads, home care SEO and family email as one system, and read results as care hours started, not form fills.
What home care agencies need their marketing to solve.
These are the pressures we see in home care accounts, from a single-office companion care agency to a franchise group with several territories. They are why a home care plan looks different from a clinic or practice plan.
-
Two audiences, one decision
The parent receives the care and the adult child usually finds, compares and pays for it. Ads, pages and calls have to speak to the family first without talking past the parent.
-
A holiday buying season
Broad home care searches climb in October and November and collapse by spring, while "near me" searches peak in January and February. A flat monthly budget is wrong in most months.
-
Caregivers before clients
A new client asking for 40 hours a week is lost if the schedule cannot cover it. Recruiting ads run alongside client ads, and the two budgets move together.
-
Private pay, long-term care insurance and Medicare
A private-pay family, a long-term care insurance claim and a Medicare skilled visit are different services with different searches. Mixing them in one campaign hides which one pays.
-
A first call that sounds like a care team
Families call in a hurry, often after a fall or a hospital stay. The agency that answers live, explains the assessment and calls back the same day keeps the lead the ad bought.
-
Tracking without the care details
A booked in-home assessment can be counted. The diagnosis, the medications and what the family shared on the call should never reach an ad platform.
What families search when they look for home care, and when.
Monthly searches and estimated click costs for the searches a home care agency competes for. The yearly averages flatten very steep curves, so the notes below the table read them month by month.
| Search | US / mo | Est. click cost, Charlotte |
|---|---|---|
| in home care | 201,000 | $3.38 to $20.31 |
| home care agencies | 135,000 | $2.53 to $10.84 |
| home care services | 165,000 | $3.30 to $13.61 |
| respite care | 165,000 | $1.84 to $6.99 |
| home care near me | 110,000 | $2.93 to $16.05 |
| in home care services for seniors | 90,500 | $3.07 to $22.45 |
| 24 hour home care | 90,500 | $4.07 to $6.87 |
| companion care | 74,000 | $2.40 to $5.53 |
| in home caregivers near me | 49,500 | $5.91 to $18.31 |
| home health aide | 60,500 | $2.63 to $10.33 |
- Research peaks around the holidays
- "In home care" reached 9,900 searches in October and November 2025 and 8,100 in December, then fell to 1,300 in February and 260 from April to June 2026. "Home care agencies", "24 hour home care" and "companion care" follow the same curve. Families research when they gather and see a parent up close.
- The decision comes in January and February
- "Home care near me" reached 3,600 searches in January and February 2026, and "in home caregivers near me" and "senior care near me" also peaked in February. After the research wave, families look for an agency close to the parent’s home, and those clicks start at $2.93 to $5.91.
- Respite never fully goes quiet
- "Respite care" fell from 5,400 searches in October 2025 to between 720 and 880 a month through spring and summer, still well above most home care terms. "Respite" alone held between 720 and 1,000 every month. Family caregivers who need a break are a year-round audience.

Our approach: it depends, and the data decides.
A companion care agency with one office and a franchise group that offers personal care, dementia care and live-in care in several territories need different plans. Four things decide where a home care plan starts.
- Your goals Fill more weekly hours, grow 24-hour and live-in cases, add dementia or respite clients, or open a new territory. Each starts with a different keyword group, page and hiring plan.
- Your timeline Search ads and the map can bring assessment calls within weeks. Referral ties with discharge planners, senior living communities and elder law attorneys, and the pages that rank, build over months.
- Your budget With research clicks starting near $3, a smaller budget goes heaviest into October through February and into the few towns where the agency can staff visits, then holds a lighter year-round floor.
- Your competition National franchises and senior care referral directories bid on the same family searches. An independent agency wins on caregiver quality, consistent caregivers, a fast assessment and a local owner who answers the phone.
Data sets the budget by month and by service, ties every assessment to the search, listing or ad that started it without the care details, and shows which channels bring clients who stay on service.
Single-office agency
Own the towns you can staff
The Google profile, a tight search campaign on "near me" and companion care, and a caregiver hiring campaign sized to the hours the office can take on.
Franchise owner
Win your territory, not the brand’s
Territory-level campaigns and listings that stay inside the franchise’s brand rules, with local pages and reporting that show the owner what their own spend brought in.
Multi-service agency
Keep each service in its lane
Separate campaigns for private-pay, long-term care insurance and Medicare skilled care, each with its own pages, so one service’s cheap clicks never hide another’s cost.
If a home care agency came to us, here is how we would start.
This is the pitch we would give a real client, built for a fictional Charlotte home care agency with real search data. The business, its phone number and its website are invented. Sample data shows the kind of results a campaign like this tracks; it is not a client result and not a promise.

How our specialists segment search demand by buyer intent
We would split the account by what the family is searching for, because each group has its own click cost, season and page. Budget then moves to whichever group is in its strongest months and has caregivers available to staff it.
Home care near me
Families ready to choose an agency close to the parent. Run every month, funded hardest in January and February, with live phone answering in the ads.

| in home caregivers near me | 1,000 | $5.91 to $18.31 |
| senior care near me | 720 | $4.67 to $11.91 |
| home care agency near me | 390 | $2.57 to $12.67 |
Care for a parent
The research wave. Funded from October through January, sent to a page that explains the services, the assessment and how caregivers are matched.

The Google listing and the map
Home care is not one of the categories that can run Local Services Ads, so the Google Business Profile carries the map on its own. Many agencies serve clients at home rather than at an office, so the listing names the towns served, the services, the hours the phone is answered live and real photos of the care team. Families read reviews closely, and many are written by the adult child. Every reply thanks the family in general terms and never confirms who receives care or why. Dementia and disability care are sensitive health topics for Google’s audience targeting, even when the ad speaks to the caretaker, so those services rely on search and the map.
The Facebook ad
For most agencies the first social campaign is hiring, because new clients cannot start without caregivers. Meta treats it as an employment ad: every age and gender, no ZIP code targeting and a radius of at least 15 miles, so the copy and the location do the targeting. Client ads on Facebook describe the agency and never imply the viewer’s age or a parent’s condition.
The email
This goes only to current clients and the family members they approve, from the agency’s own scheduling system. It names the visit, never the care given. Families who always know who is coming stay on service longer, and this email protects the hours every ad dollar bought.
Here is next week’s care schedule.
Here are the caregivers who will visit next week, the times of each visit and how to reach your care manager if anything changes. Family members you add to the account receive the same update, so a son or daughter in another city always knows who is with their parent.
View the scheduleThe landing page the ads send people to
A family deciding on care wants to know three things: who will come into the house, what schedules are possible and how payment works. The page answers those first, keeps the form to a name, a phone number and a best time to call, and leaves the parent’s health for the assessment.

What each piece turns into, and how they hand off
- Search and the map catch the family Research in the fall, "near me" in winter.
- A care manager answers live And books the in-home assessment.
- The assessment matches caregivers Schedule, needs and the right fit.
- Email keeps the family informed Weekly schedules for every relative.
How our team tracks calls, bookings and revenue
- Calls and inquiriesCalls and forms counted by channel as one event, with no diagnosis, care need or note from the call attached.
- Assessments from the agency systemCompleted in-home assessments counted from the scheduling system and sent back to Google as a plain conversion, only where the agency’s privacy review allows it.
- Clients still on service at 90 daysWeekly hours and retention by source in the agency’s own reporting, so a channel that brings short respite stays is judged against one that brings long-term clients.
- A monthly report for clients and hiringSpend, inquiries and cost per assessment next to caregiver applications and hires, so the two budgets move together.

Home care marketing in Charlotte, town by town.
We are based in Charlotte, where an agency’s real market is the set of towns its caregivers can reach for a four-hour shift, and where many of the families searching live in another state. We target the parent’s town, not only the searcher’s, size each area to the caregivers available there, and time spend to the fall research wave and the January decision. We also work with home care agencies and franchise owners nationwide, as one of the senior care marketing teams that plans from local data; the searches, the state licensing rules and the competition change by market, and the plan changes with them.
Six growth leaks we fix in home care ad accounts.
When we take over home care accounts, these are the places we most often find families and care hours leaking, and what we change first.
A flat budget all year
Broad home care searches in Charlotte fall by more than 90 percent from November to spring. We fund the research wave from October to January, the "near me" decision in January and February, and keep a lighter floor the rest of the year.
Paying for caregiver job searches
"Home health aide" and similar terms bring people looking for work and certification as well as families. We exclude job and training searches from client campaigns and run hiring in its own campaign with its own budget.
Targeting the parent instead of the family
Ads that ask a viewer about their age or memory break Meta’s personal attributes rules and miss the person deciding. We write to the adult child about the parent’s care, in terms that never imply the viewer’s own age or health.
Winning clients the schedule cannot staff
An inquiry for 24-hour care in a town with no available caregivers costs the click and the agency’s reputation. We tie ad radius and service budgets to caregiver coverage and pause what the office cannot staff.
Medicare and private pay in one campaign
Medicare home health searches have some of the cheapest clicks in the data, but they are for skilled care ordered by a doctor. We separate them from private-pay care so a cheap click never passes for a paying client.
Reviews that reveal too much
A reply that names a parent’s condition, or thanks a client by name, discloses care the family never agreed to share. We set a reply standard that thanks the family and moves details to a phone call.
Questions home care agency owners ask us.
How much should a home care agency spend on advertising?
It depends on how many weekly hours your caregivers can take on, which services you want to grow and how many clients pay privately or through long-term care insurance. Home care clicks in Charlotte start around $3, so we set the budget from your caregiver coverage and the towns you serve, weighted toward October through February, then adjust it as care hour data comes in.
When do families look for home care?
In the Charlotte area, broad searches such as "in home care" peaked in October and November 2025, and "home care near me" peaked in January and February 2026. Families research when they see a parent over the holidays and choose an agency in the weeks after.
Can home care agencies run Local Services Ads?
Not at the moment. Home care is not among the health care categories Google lists for Local Services Ads in the US, so the Google Business Profile and search ads carry local search. We build the listing around the towns you serve and the hours your phone is answered live.
Should we advertise for caregivers as well as clients?
Usually, yes. New clients cannot start without caregivers to staff them. We run hiring in its own campaigns, within Meta’s employment ad rules, and report applications and hires next to client inquiries so both budgets follow the schedule.
Do you work with home care agencies outside Charlotte?
Yes. We are based in Charlotte and work with home care agencies and franchise owners across the US. The method is the same; the click costs, the state licensing rules, the payers and the competition change by market.
What do you measure besides leads?
Calls and inquiries, completed in-home assessments, cost per assessment, clients who start care and weekly hours still on service at 90 days, reported by service and by town, next to caregiver applications and hires.
