Plastic surgery
Plastic surgery marketing that fills the consultation calendar
A surgical patient researches for months before booking a consult. We plan your search ads, Local Services Ads, Google listings, social ads and email so people comparing body, breast and facial procedures choose your surgeons, inside the ad policy and privacy limits of cosmetic surgery.
- 3,600"BBL" searches a month in the Charlotte area, the largest single procedure search in our data
- 4,400 to 2,400"BBL" searches in the Charlotte area, December to April against June to August 2026
- $0.04low end of the estimated Charlotte click cost for "gynecomastia", against $4.04 for "tummy tuck"
- 390"tummy tuck cost" searches a month in the Charlotte area, before a patient ever calls
The short answer
What makes plastic surgery marketing different from other healthcare marketing?
Plastic surgery marketing sells an elective, self-paid procedure after a long private decision: the patient compares surgeons, prices and photos for months, and the practice is judged on the consultation it books, not the click.
Each procedure is its own market. Body contouring carries the volume and the winter season, breast procedures run steady all year, eyelid surgery is cheap to reach, and a men’s line sits almost uncontested. Plastic surgeon is one of the health categories that can run Local Services Ads. On Meta, cosmetic surgery ads must target adults 18 and older and cannot attack how someone looks (Meta health and wellness policy). We plan plastic surgery ads, the Google Business Profile, social ads, SEO for plastic surgeons and consult follow-up email as one system, and read results as kept consultations by procedure.
As a plastic surgery marketing agency, we plan surgical procedures here; injectables, lasers and skin treatments sold on their own follow the med spa playbook.
What plastic surgery practices need their marketing to solve.
These are the pressures we see in plastic surgery accounts, from a single surgeon with an office suite to a group with an accredited surgery center and several surgeons. They are why a surgical plan is built differently from a clinic that books visits by insurance.
-
A decision that takes months
Patients research, save photos and compare surgeons long before they call. The practice has to stay in front of them through the whole decision, not just at the first search.
-
Self-pay, with cost asked first
Most cosmetic surgery is paid out of pocket, so cost and financing come up before anything else. A page that dodges the question sends the patient to one that answers it.
-
Consultations, not clicks
The real conversion is a consultation that shows up, often with a fee or deposit. Leads that never attend cost the surgeon chair time as well as ad spend.
-
Photos with consent and limits
Before and after galleries are what patients look for, and the riskiest content a practice owns. Every image needs written consent, and ad platforms set their own rules for showing them.
-
Several procedures, several patients
A mommy makeover patient, a man asking about gynecomastia and a woman pricing eyelid surgery are different people. One campaign for all of them hides what each one costs.
-
Trust in the surgeon
Board certification, where the surgery happens and who the surgeon is decide the choice. Patients search for those credentials directly and want them on the page.
What patients search when they consider plastic surgery, and when.
Monthly searches and estimated click costs for the procedures a plastic surgery practice competes for. Patients search for the procedure, its cost and its photos far more than for a surgeon by name.
| Search | US / mo | Est. click cost, Charlotte |
|---|---|---|
| bbl | 246,000 | $2.92 to $17.64 |
| gynecomastia | 135,000 | $0.04 to $8.41 |
| blepharoplasty | 135,000 | $0.95 to $5.03 |
| rhinoplasty | 90,500 | $2.44 to $9.85 |
| breast augmentation | 74,000 | $1.76 to $11.92 |
| tummy tuck | 60,500 | $4.04 to $12.68 |
| mommy makeover | 40,500 | $2.41 to $11.10 |
| breast lift | 40,500 | $1.24 to $6.64 |
| tummy tuck cost | 33,100 | $2.16 to $7.37 |
| plastic surgery charlotte | 880 | $2.71 to $13.95 |
- Body contouring peaks in winter
- "BBL" held at 4,400 Charlotte searches a month from December 2025 to April 2026, then fell to 2,400 from June to August. "Tummy tuck" peaked at 880 in March. Patients plan surgery in the cold months so recovery ends before summer, so body contouring budgets belong from November to April.
- Patients price it before they call
- "Tummy tuck cost" drew 390 searches a month, "blepharoplasty cost" 390, "breast reduction cost" 320 and "mommy makeover cost" 210. Cost clicks start lower too: $2.16 for "tummy tuck cost" against $4.04 for "tummy tuck". A cost and financing page catches patients weeks before they compare consultations.
- Eyelids and men cost the least to reach
- "Blepharoplasty" drew 1,300 searches a month with clicks from $0.95, highest in October 2025 at 1,900. "Gynecomastia" held between 1,300 and 1,900 every month, peaking in June 2026, with clicks from $0.04. Both are steady procedures few competitors build campaigns for.

Our approach: it depends, and the data decides.
A solo facial plastic surgeon, a body contouring practice and a multi-surgeon group with its own surgery center need different plans. Four things decide where a plastic surgery plan starts.
- Your goals Fill a new surgeon’s calendar, grow one procedure such as breast or body, open a men’s line or add a second office. Each starts with a different keyword group, page and gallery.
- Your timeline Search ads and Local Services Ads bring consultation requests within weeks. Procedure pages that rank, a deep photo gallery and a reputation for one specialty build over months.
- Your budget Eyelid clicks start near $0.95 and gynecomastia near $0.04, while tummy tuck starts at $4.04 and BBL clicks reach $17.64 at the high end. A smaller budget goes to the procedures with surgeon capacity, weighted toward winter for body work.
- Your competition Hospital plastic surgery departments, regional groups, med spas offering non-surgical alternatives and travel surgery centers bid on the same searches. A practice wins on its surgeon’s credentials, its gallery and a consultation that is easy to book.
Data sets the budget by procedure, by surgeon and by season, ties each kept consultation and booked surgery to the search, listing or ad that started it without the procedure or photos attached, and shows which surgeons have room for more consults.
Solo surgeon practice
Own one procedure first
A complete Google profile and Local Services Ads, one or two procedure campaigns with a cost and financing page, and a consultation request form a patient can fill in a minute.
Body contouring practice
Fund the winter season
Tummy tuck, mommy makeover and BBL campaigns weighted from November to April, a gallery shown only where consent and policy allow, and follow-up email for long decisions.
Multi-surgeon group
Match patients to surgeons
A campaign per procedure family routed to the surgeon who performs it, separate tracking for the surgery center, and non-surgical treatments run apart so surgical numbers stay readable.
If a plastic surgery practice came to us, here is how we would start.
This is the pitch we would give a real client, built for a fictional Charlotte plastic surgery practice with real search data. The business, its phone number and its website are invented. Sample data shows the kind of results a campaign like this tracks; it is not a client result and not a promise.
Calderwick Plastic Surgery
- Tummy tuck, mommy makeover and body contouring
- Breast augmentation, lift and reduction
- Eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and male procedures
How our specialists segment search demand by buyer intent
We would split the account by procedure family, because each one has its own click cost, season, surgeon and page. Budget then moves to the families with consult openings and to body contouring in its winter months.
Body contouring
The volume and the season. Funded hardest from November to April, with cost searches sent to a cost and financing page and procedure searches to the surgeon’s own pages.
| Search | Charlotte area / mo | Est. click cost |
|---|---|---|
| bbl | 3,600 | $2.92 to $17.64 |
| tummy tuck | 720 | $4.04 to $12.68 |
| mommy makeover | 480 | $2.41 to $11.10 |
| tummy tuck cost | 390 | $2.16 to $7.37 |
| mommy makeover cost | 210 | $1.87 to $7.08 |
| mini abdominoplasty | 140 | $1.38 to $10.23 |
| lipo near me | 110 | $5.87 to $17.28 |
| skin removal surgery | 70 | $2.85 to $8.00 |
Breast procedures
Steady all year, with the breast lift peak in spring. Augmentation, lift and reduction get their own pages, because a reduction patient is often a different person with a different reason.
| Search | Charlotte area / mo | Est. click cost |
|---|---|---|
| breast augmentation | 880 | $1.76 to $11.92 |
| breast lift | 480 | $1.24 to $6.64 |
| breast implants | 390 | $2.51 to $7.66 |
| breast reduction cost | 320 | $1.31 to $6.83 |
| breast reduction | 210 | $1.28 to $12.18 |
| breast lift cost | 210 | $1.32 to $5.22 |
| breast augmentation near me | 140 | $3.24 to $15.99 |
Face and eyelids
The cheapest clicks in the account. Eyelid surgery is funded hardest in the fall, when its searches run highest, and rhinoplasty runs all year.
| Search | Charlotte area / mo | Est. click cost |
|---|---|---|
| blepharoplasty | 1,300 | $0.95 to $5.03 |
| rhinoplasty | 880 | $2.44 to $9.85 |
| blepharoplasty cost | 390 | $1.10 to $7.00 |
| lower eyelid surgery | 390 | $1.12 to $5.31 |
| rhinoplasty surgery cost | 210 | $1.91 to $5.80 |
| otoplasty | 170 | $0.57 to $10.15 |
| brow lift | 140 | $0.93 to $5.28 |
Men and the practice name
Gynecomastia is a steady men’s procedure with almost no competition for the click. City and credential searches come from patients already choosing a surgeon.
| Search | Charlotte area / mo | Est. click cost |
|---|---|---|
| gynecomastia | 1,600 | $0.04 to $8.41 |
| gynecomastia surgery cost | 90 | $1.49 to $5.38 |
| plastic surgery charlotte | 390 | $2.71 to $13.95 |
| breast augmentation charlotte | 110 | $3.16 to $13.20 |
| board certified plastic surgeon | 90 | $1.56 to $6.91 |
How our negative keyword governance protects the budget
- Other surgeon and practice names
- Non-surgical injectables, fillers and laser treatments
- Free, cheap and abroad searches
- Celebrity, gone wrong and photo browsing searches
- Jobs, residency and nursing
- Insurance-only reconstructive searches the practice does not take
Plastic surgery searches pull in other surgeons’ names, people wanting injections instead of surgery, bargain and medical travel shoppers, people browsing celebrity photos and job seekers. Our specialists load these exclusions before launch and review the search terms every week, so the budget reaches people ready to book a consultation.
How we write and test the Google search ads
Each intent group gets message-matched ad copy engineered by our specialists to qualify buyers before the click and lift expected click-through rate.

Local Services Ads and the map
Plastic surgeon is one of the health care categories that can run Local Services Ads, which sit above the search ads and charge per lead rather than per click. The practice completes Google’s license and background checks for its surgeons, and once approved its listing shows a Google Verified badge. We would set the procedures and hours, and dispute leads that were not real patients. The same reviews feed the Google Business Profile, where the surgeons, the procedures and photos of the office, never of patients, decide the call. Every reply thanks the patient in general terms and never names a procedure.
The Instagram ad
Social ads reach adults in the area during the winter planning season for body procedures. Meta requires cosmetic surgery ads to target people 18 and older and bans statements that attack how someone looks, so the ad talks about the surgeon, the timing and the consultation, never about the viewer’s body.
The email
This goes only to people who requested a consultation and agreed to receive email, sent from the practice’s own system. It never names the procedure they asked about or uses their photos, and it keeps the practice in the patient’s mind through a decision that often takes months.
Still deciding? Here is what patients ask us most.
Most patients take weeks or months to decide, and that is how it should be. Here are the questions we hear most about recovery time, financing and what happens on surgery day, with a link to book a follow-up call with our patient coordinator.
Book a follow-up callThe landing page the ads send people to
A surgical patient wants to know three things before booking: who the surgeon is, what it will cost and what recovery looks like. The page answers those first, and keeps the request form to a name, a phone number, an email and a preferred day, leaving the details for the consultation.

Plastic surgery digital marketing services, and which come first.
The four core services carry most plastic surgery plans. The others join as the practice adds surgeons, procedures and offices; a solo facial surgeon and a body contouring group rarely need the same mix.

Plastic surgery marketing in Charlotte and beyond.
We are based in Charlotte, where hospital plastic surgery departments, established multi-surgeon practices and med spas offering non-surgical options compete for the same procedure searches, and where "plastic surgery charlotte" drew 390 searches a month and 720 in May 2026. We plan each practice on its surgeons, its procedures and the radius patients will travel for surgery, which is wider than for a routine visit, and fund body contouring through the winter. We also work with plastic surgery practices nationwide; the searches, the seasons and the competition change by market, and the plan changes with them.
Six growth leaks we fix in plastic surgery ad accounts.
When we take over plastic surgery accounts, these are the places we most often find consultations and budget leaking, and what we change first.
One campaign for every procedure
A single campaign lets cheap eyelid and gynecomastia clicks hide what tummy tuck and BBL actually cost. We split body, breast, face and men’s procedures, each with its own budget and page.
Body contouring spend flat all year
"BBL" ran at 4,400 searches a month through the winter and 2,400 in summer. We weight body contouring budgets from November to April and move summer spend to face and breast procedures.
No answer to the cost question
Hundreds of Charlotte patients search procedure costs every month. A practice with no cost or financing page loses them to one that has it, so we build that page and send cost searches there.
Counting form fills instead of consultations
A form fill that never attends is not a patient. We count attended consultations and booked surgeries from the practice system, so bidding learns from the patients who show up.
Ads that break cosmetic policy
Ads aimed at under-18 audiences or copy that criticizes how someone looks get rejected or restricted on Meta. We write about the surgeon and the procedure, set adult-only audiences and keep before and after images out of ads unless the platform and the patient’s consent allow it.
Galleries and reviews that expose patients
An unconsented photo, an identifiable face or a review reply that names a procedure exposes care a patient never agreed to share. We set a written consent rule for every image and a reply standard that thanks patients in general terms.
Questions plastic surgery practices ask us.
How much should a plastic surgery practice spend on advertising?
It depends on how many surgeons you have, which procedures you want to grow and how many consultations your calendar can take. In Charlotte, eyelid surgery clicks start near $0.95 and tummy tuck at $4.04, so we set the budget by procedure family and season, then adjust it as kept consultation data comes in.
When do patients search for plastic surgery?
Body contouring runs highest in winter: "BBL" held at 4,400 Charlotte searches a month from December 2025 to April 2026 and fell to 2,400 in summer. Eyelid surgery ran highest in October, and breast lift searches peaked in May 2026.
Can plastic surgeons run Local Services Ads?
Yes. Plastic surgeon is one of the health care categories Google lists for Local Services Ads in the US. The practice and its surgeons pass license and background checks, and leads are charged per lead rather than per click.
Can we use before and after photos in ads?
Sometimes, with limits. Meta allows cosmetic surgery ads that show a transformation only when they target people 18 and older, and never with statements that attack how someone looks. Every photo also needs the patient’s written consent. We keep galleries on the practice’s own site and use them in ads only where both allow it.
Do you market non-surgical treatments too?
Yes, as their own line. Injectables, lasers and skin treatments are searched by different patients at different prices, so we run them apart from surgical procedures, with their own budget, pages and reporting, following our med spa playbook.
Do you work with plastic surgery practices outside Charlotte?
Yes. We are based in Charlotte and work with plastic surgery practices across the US. The method is the same; the click costs, the procedure mix, the seasons and the competition change by market.
